Step 5.) Review the next steps and look out for emails from your writer!

You just received two emails:

#1) An email with the subject line “Instruction and Confirmation” that confirms your consultation time – please review that email for important reminders about your consultation and process.

#2) If your order included the Digital Guide to Cold Emails and/or other downloads, you will find them in the second email you just received titled “Order Invoice and Downloads”

IMPORTANT: If you don’t see these emails, please check your Spam or Promotions, and please add to your address book so that you receive important emails in the future!

Here’s what’s going to happen next:

1.) Your Writer Sends You A Welcome Email

In the next day or two, your writer will send you an email to introduce themselves, confirm your consultation day and time, and possibly ask for additional information they need to begin Working Drafts of your documents. If you do not receive that email, please check your spam folder. Some email filters are very picky! Once you reply with the details, your writer will get started.




Using the information you provided, your writer will begin Working Drafts of your documents. Working Drafts are the outline of your resume and letter, and contain the key sections and elements – this is the first step in our collaboration process.

These drafts may have information missing, questions about details your writer needs from you, and notes from your writer with topics to discuss during your consultation. Your writer will email you the Working Drafts two business days before your consultation so you have time to review them before you meet. If you do not receive that email, please check your spam folder.

3.) You Speak with Your Writer

During your scheduled 30-minute consultation, your friendly writer will get to know you more, ask questions about your job search goals, and describe a customized strategy for your documents. You will discover the importance of key sections of your resume and letter, and how we highlight your most significant and relevant skills, areas of expertise, and accomplishments.



After your consultation, your writer will revise the Working Drafts based on the details you provided. One of our expert Editors will review your drafts, then your writer will email Revised Drafts to you in two business days. You will have up to four business days to review the Revised Drafts and email your comments and suggestions to your writer.


5.) You receive Final Drafts and a Follow-Up Call

Once you’re completely satisfied with your documents, your writer will send you final drafts in PDF and Word formats so you can revise your resume and letter to target each job you pursue. If you signed up for a complimentary follow-up call when you ordered, we’ll give you a call to see how your job search is going.
